This article takes the automotive industry as a use case to explain the integration of Parseur and Pipedream to build a workflow automation for sales processes.

Parseur is a no-code and powerful document processing tool that automates the data extraction from documents and emails. Parseur seamlessly integrates with Pipedream, opening exciting new document processing automations with hundreds of applications.

Benefits of Integrating Parseur with Pipedream

Combining Parseur and Pipedream will let you automate your data entry process and send the right data in real time to your favorite applications.

Parseur can extract data from emails from Outlook, Gmail, and any other email providers. It can also extract text from other types of documents: PDFs, CSVs, spreadsheets, and more. If you need to support several document layouts, you can create templates to teach Parseur what to extract from each layout. Parseur will automatically pick the right template every time a new document comes in.

Creating custom templates is easy: the email parsing tool is point and click and requires zero coding knowledge and no human intervention once setup. The parsed data can then be exported to any application of your choice via Pipedream. Finally, Parseur has ready-made templates for specific industries such as food ordering, real estate, Google alerts, and job search that are processed automatically.

How Does The Integration With Pipedream and Parseur Work?

Integrating Parseur with Pipedream is as simple as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Parseur receives your email or document
  2. Parseur extracts the specific information and sends it to Pipedream via webhook
  3. Pipedream exports the data to a connected application, e.g., Google Sheets

To use this integration you will need:

  1. A Parseur account
  2. Your Pipedream account

Imagine you’re a car agent who receives hundreds of emails a day from different platforms such as CarGurus or Cars.com. Those emails come in different layouts, which can be time-consuming to review. This routine is monotonous, and can slow your sales. With a mail parsing tool like Parseur, you can extract information automatically and save hours of manual work.

Parseur is able to extract specific data from your car sales emails, like:

  1. Buyer details (name, email, phone number)
  2. Car details (model, price, type)
  3. Message from buyer

Step 1: Create Your Free Parseur Mailbox

Parseur is free to start with all the features enabled.

Once you sign up, you will be prompted to create your Parseur mailbox.
Choose Emails and documents (default):

Step 2: Forward The Car Sales Emails to Your Parseur Mailbox

To develop an automated workflow right from the start, we recommend you create an auto-forwarding rule from your personal inbox to the Parseur mailbox. Parseur will receive and process the email within seconds!

Teach Parseur which specific information you would like to extract from your email. Highlight the fields and create your custom template.

The parsed results will appear like so:

Step 4: Integrate Parseur with Pipedream

Parseur integrates with Pipedream via webhooks. Parseur delivers events to Pipedream in real-time, triggering your Pipedream workflow, allowing you to send event data to any connected app. In your Parseur mailbox:

  1. Visit Export
  2. Click on Webhooks
  3. Select New webhook

You will see that a webhook URL is required to continue the integration process. In Pipedream:

  1. Create a new workflow
  2. Select the HTTP API trigger on the right

This will generate a custom URL, specific to your workflow, which you can paste into the Target URL field of your Parseur webhook:

Once the webhook is created, you will have to re-process your email in Parseur so that Pipedream can receive the extracted data.

Step 5: Connect Pipedream with Google Sheets

In this example, we’ll send Parseur data to Google Sheets. But you can easily send data to any other application supported by Pipedream. Here, the process is quite straightforward:

  1. Click the + button below the HTTP API trigger to add a step to your workflow
  2. Search for “Google Sheets”
  3. Click on the Add Single Row action, and select the Drive and Spreadsheet you want to export the parsed data to

Once this is done, click on Deploy and check your spreadsheet to see if the data has been sent automatically.

And, that’s it! From now on, every email or document that you send to this Parseur mailbox will be processed automatically and exported to Google Sheets via Pipedream without your manual intervention.
